I have been doing business with Steve Hassel / Varchan Environmental for several years now. They have always done quality work and stayed on schedule while staying within the budget.

Beware of these guys -- if you are thinking of hiring their services for anything, think again -- don't get sucked in their scam!



They blatantly misuse mechanics lien law through a masterful scam! One Steven Frank Hassel who claims himself to be the owner of this company is full of deception and fraud. I have solid proof how Steve is an accomplice with an equally deceitful contractor in harassing and defrauding a vulnerable owner.



Their game plan is smart. First the contractor will claim that he owns the excavator machine, work on your job, and get payments. The machines won't even show Steve's or any rental company's name that is customary, throughout the job no one will identify themselves as the equipment suppler, not even ask owner's permission to access the property... basically owner will never even dream that the equipment used on his property could be rental. Then after the contractor has been paid, suddenly out of the blue, Steve will reveal himself and position himself as a lien claimant due to non-payments of rent on the equipment. He will give stories with changing facts and harass the owner to pay twice.



I'm seeking help from the court of law hoping these frauds will be penalized one day. If you have also been a victim of similar fraud/scam, please contact me. I've a feeling that there are many victims out there.... Let's stop the blatant misuse of mechanics lien provisions through masterful scams by dishonest contractors!

Varchan environmental dump truck sideswiped me on the freeway and refused to pull over. I ended up having to call the police, the driver didn't even seem to carethat I was injured. Even with a police report and witnesses their insurance company refused to pay damages and I had to take Varchan to small claims court. If this is how Varchan treats normal people - with the 'if we ignore it long enough it will go away' attitude, I'd avoid being one of thir customers. Just my two cents.
