- Osteoporosis
- High Cholesterol
- ColonoscopyBeneficial for patients with conditions that prevent them from undergoing conventional Colonoscopy, such as a blood disorder, patient use of anticoagulant medication, intolerance of the required sedative, or other problems such as heart or lung disease.
- ElectrocardiogramRisks: If you have coronary artery disease, it is possible that you could experience chest pain or angina when stressed by exercise or by being given a drug that applies to your heart. However, your test will be carried out under the supervision of a specialist trained to monitor you and your heart by using information being provided by the electrocardiogram, by your heart rhythm, and by your chest pain.

- ObstetricsPelvis and Transvaginal and Obstetrics U/S - 1 to 2 hours before your exam, drink at least 2 large glasses of water (32 ounces) and maintain a full bladder.
- Internal MedicineAfter the exam is performed, a Board Certified Radiologist will evaluate the images. A written report and a CD containing images from the study will be sent to the patient within 2 weeks. For Full Body Scans, patients are offered a personal consultation with a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician. The consultation takes place 2-3 days following the exam. Phone consultations are also available.
- Colon CancerScreening for colorectal cancer should be a part of routine care for all adults starting at age 50. In those people with first-degree relatives with colorectal cancer, screening should start at an earlier age. Groups that have a higher incidence of colorectal cancer - those with hereditary conditions, such as familial polyposis, hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer and inflammatory bowel disease - should consult with their health care providers as to the appropriate time to begin screening.
- Lung CancerLow-Dose Lung Scan - Lung cancer kills more Americans than any other type of cancer. The five-year survival rate for lung cancer is only 14%. However, it is estimated that the survival rate may be increased to 80% through early detection and treatment. Lung scans are able to detect very small tumors often before they are large enough to be detected by conventional X-rays. By detecting lung cancer at an early stage, an individual's survival rate may be significantly improved.
- NeurologyCT / P.E.T. "Fusion" - University MRI is one of the few centers in the nation to successfully "fuse" CT and P.E.T. scan technology to create three-dimensional, detailed images. With this state-of-the-art technology, physicians are now able to observe lesions with greater accuracy and specificity. This technology is used primarily in oncology, neurology, and cardiology.

- UltrasoundUltrasound is a non-invasive, painless procedure that utilizes sound waves to image various parts of the body. The different exams include abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, thyroid, vascular, cardiac, and testicular studies.
- MRIMagnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses radio waves and a strong magnetic field to provide detailed pictures of internal organs and tissues. Using specialized equipment, MRI generates high resolution images that have the ability to identify many diseases in the brain, spine, musculoskeletal system and abdominal and pelvic organs. MRI is the most advanced diagnostic imaging tool in the evaluation of many medical conditions.
- RadiologyTo request a copy of your medical records and copies for physician offices, please call 561-362-9191 and press option 1. Unless specified otherwise, all radiology copies will be manufactured on a CD that includes viewing software. There is no charge for the first set of medical records request.
- X-Rays
- Nuclear MedicineNuclear Medicine is a safe, painless and effective imaging modality that provides specific information about organ function and structure. Using very small doses of radioactive materials, comparable to that received during a diagnostic X-ray, metabolic information is obtained.
- MammographyUniversity MRI& Diagnostic Imaging Center’s newest addition is the Hologic Genius 3D digital mammography System. The newest tomography machines are capable of producing these images without increased radiation dose. The newest most advanced machine is the Hologic with the Genius 3D.
- Computed TomographyComputed Tomography (CT) is a highly sensitive imaging technique used to view internal anatomy. CT generates thin slice images through the body to diagnose diseases that cannot be seen on conventional X-rays. CT technology is known for its speed and high-resolution capabilities and is established as a safe and efficient diagnostic tool.

- HysterectomyUterine Fibroids are benign (non-cancerous) masses located in the uterus or in the uterine wall. At least 1 in 4 women in the U.S. suffer from this condition, but 3 of 4 may suffer from it unknowingly. Fibroids can cause heavy bleeding, painful periods, bleeding between periods, frequent urination, bowel symptoms, pain during sex, and lower back pain, and at times require hysterectomy (the removal of the uterus.)
- Cyst
- LesionsChanges in cellular funtion by showing metabolic uptake. Since these functional changes usually take place before any physical changes can occur. P.E.T. can provide information that enables physicians to make an earlier diagnosis.
