Terri's Little Pumpkins Statement of Philosophy: Our philosophy is based on the belief that all children are unique; and that they develop at their own pace. We believe children learn and grow through play-along, with positive experiences provided to them by qualified staff. At Terri's Little Pumpkins, our staff is nurturing individuals who will provide your children with a warm, loving, and comfortable environment. We will encourage each child to develop individual readiness in areas such as cognitive, social, physical, and language. We will help each child to create a positive and confident self image. We will offer experiences in manipulative play, imaginative dramatic play, reading, singing, dancing, math, science, and art. Our program is designed to meet the needs of both our children and their families. We offer a safe learning environment where your children feel comfortable and secure. We hope to provide you with a rich program of activities which meet the needs of your children as well as provide quality services for the parents in our community. Teaching children the skills of play. Play is a mode of response to experiences that can and should be taught in early childhood education. At Terri's Little Pumpkins teachers support play by providing a variety of things to do, observing what unfolds, and staying nearby to help as needed.
