Superior Towing taking advantage of students.
My son had his scooter towed (not arguing whether or not it should have been towed). The scooter was apparently towed on a Wednesday and he found out it was at Superior Towing of Friday. He arrived and was told it would be $100.00 towing charge, $50.00 per day storage, $80.00 admin charge, $80.00 lein charge, $60.00 gate charge for a total of $420.00. The scooter was towed about a half a mile.
He was given the option to pay $200.00 (and was told that the manager would accept $100.00) and sign over the title to Superior if he couldn't afford the $420.
How is this legal?

If there were a choice for zero stars, I would assign a zero. This company towed my car with a visible guest parking pass and the people were extremely rude about it and would not give manager or owner information to pursue. They stated they had a picture showing that the guest pass was not present; when I asked to see the picture, I was told only could see the manager on Monday-Friday between 8am and 5pm. I called the police who apparently have had many of these type of complaints. Unfortunately, the towing company knows exactly how to "play their money game". Ended up having to pay over $500 to get the car. I will definitely be writing to the Better Business Bureau about Superior Towing who has the strong arm to take advantage of young college students who are away from home.

These people hound on unsuspecting people (students and their families). The problem is not that they towed our car, that was reasonable. The problem was, that they had an attitude about it. They don't care how long you parked your vehicle, as long as they don't see a decal, your vehicle's going to get towed by them.
