DISASTER!!! Joe Simpson was subcontracted to install minisplits in an addition. Overall, the job was a complete disaster, he did not respond to any calls, texts or emails and we had to pay out of pocket for all materials and repairs during a warranty period that we also paid for.
Additionally, we decided to add minisplits throughout the house for air conditioning, as Joe told us this would be more cost effective. To date, it has not been.
First issue was he overtightened a fitting, which caused the units to constantly run in the summer and then when we turned the heat on, it wouldn’t work. When we contacted Joe, he refused to return calls, emails or text messages because the prime contractor didn’t pay him (due to unresolved issues between that contractor and myself). Joe finally responded when I told him I would go to the BBB and Fujitsu, and by responded he said he would not honor his warranty until he got paid from the prime contractor.
The unit on the roof of our home blew over in strong wind one day, when I went up to investigate I discovered that it was in no way secured. It was just sitting there, not bolted, screwed or strapped down in any way. The insulation covering the copper line sets outside on the roof were insulated with a material that is not rated to be outdoors. The insulation was flaking off and blowing into my back yard. It eventually needed to be replaced. Those same line sets were also DUCT TAPED TOGETHER!!! Yea, the contractor used regular duct tape to secure the lines to one another; it eventually deteriorated and blew into the yard. The contractor also had the foresight to elevate the line sets off the roof so water could flow beneath them, smart, except that also failed because he recycled unused two-piece line set covers that slide apart…would not recommend this guy to anyone!!!!

Joe is my go-to guy for all plumbing, heating and air conditioning issues, and has been for over a decade. He is reasonably priced, prioritizes emergency matters, and really knows his industry well. He always exceeds my expectations, and has assisted me at many properties that I managed with a plethora of issues. You'll be glad you called!

Joe was very reasonably priced and was very quick to complete our replacement oil burner last fall. He recently also did plumbing work for him and we are very pleased and would recommend him to all! It was a pleasure doing business with him!
