When major storms roll in, our staff is on high alert preparing for potential weather-related tree damage. Oftentimes, trees or limbs can suddenly fall or snap during or after a storm. This is commonly due to decay or poor structure, which can be minimized by proper tree pruning and cabling. Our emergency tree services include removing uprooted or fallen trees or pruning hazardous limbs. Our crews of expert aerial and mechanical arborists are trained to professional industry standards, certified to work around electrical hazards and have extensive experience in mitigating compromised tree hazards in any situation. The best time to prevent storm damage is before the storm. Our certified arborists are Tree Risk Assessment Qualified and can provide a comprehensive review of your tree and provide a plan to mitigate those risks. If you have an emergency or want to prevent one, give us a call!
- Tree Planting
- Tree Pruning and TrimmingRoot collar excavation is a process that involves directing high-pressure air at the base of the tree to displace local soil in order to inspect the root system. Once problem roots are identified we begin the process of careful and selective root pruning to remove the unwanted roots while keeping the tree healthy and vigorous.

- Tree MaintenanceThrough our dedication to Safety, Education, Teamwork, and the Environment our mission is to provide the best tree care & arboriculture resources in Central Ohio.
- Tree Cabling and BracingCabling is intended to offer additional support for trees with structural problems or poor architecture. For example, a tree with a tight “V” attachment may have codominant stems, which are more vulnerable to failure during extreme weather conditions, such as wind or ice load. Depending on the specific tree, one of two cabling options are available: Static or Dynamic cabling. Static cables consist of a steel cable that is attached between two stems by drilling into each stem. These cables minimize movement of the stems being supported and are used to provide support to very weak attachments or attachments that are already beginning to fail.
- Arborist ServicesPruning (often called “trimming”) helps develop good structure in growing trees and shrubs. Pruning also allows for maintaining space between buildings, streets, other plants, utility lines etc. and removes hazardous dead or broken limbs. When pruning trees we remove crossing, co-dominant, dead, diseased, and dying limbs that can aid in the spread of diseases and become safety hazards. Pruning can be a source of stress on mature trees and shrubs when improperly done. Our Arborists make all of our cuts according to the ANSI A300 standard. Also with our belief that every leaf has its purpose, you can be assured that our pruning is done to provide necessary clearances while maintaining and improving the natural structure of your trees and shrubs. See below for our pruning options and best practices.
- Land ClearingOur forestry mower can efficiently clear areas of trees and brush, leaving material in a shredded/mulched state, evenly spread over the site. We have reclaimed landscapes for cities, businesses, and private residences in this way. Great for reclaiming areas that have been filled with invasive species such as Honeysuckle, Autumn Olive, and multiflora Rose. We also work with building contractors to use our tree crews and forestry mower for lot clearing prior to home construction. Request your free quote now!
- Tree MulchingOther “tight spaces” include trees planted near homes, backyard structures, sidewalks, or roads. Even a perfectly placed tree can fall victim to girdling roots by the act of over-mulching its base –a trend that has resulted in the death of many trees by many well-intentioned homeowners
