Incorporated in 1939, Red River Valley Cooperative Power Assn. is a member owned electric cooperative that provides reliable electric service to around 4,000 Minnesota members in Clay, Norman and Polk counties. Based in Halstad, Minn., the association generates electricity from diverse sources like coal, wind, water and biomass. Its power saver program offers many energy saving resources and incentives for residential and business members. In addition, Red River Valley Cooperative Power Assn. offers cleanup and disposal guidelines for compact fluorescent light bulbs.
