Founded in 1957, Peppermint Ridge is a nonprofit corporation that provides family-style homes to developmentally disabled persons. The housing is designed to suite six or 12 residents per complex. Residents receive single- or double-occupancy rooms, individual closet space, family-style meals, laundry services and access to a living room, dining room, the grounds and a swimming pool. In addition to offering housing, the company provides individualized training, professional consulting services, transportation, a direct-care staff, social and recreational activities, skills training, behavioral services, communication training, occupational training, maintenance of health records, coordination of medical and dental appointments, administering of medications and medical treatments and medical consultations. Peppermint Ridge is located in Corona, Calif.
