I am one of those people who has the WORST luck with cars... well pretty much driving in general. So no one was surprised when I locked my keys in my car.. STILL RUNNING! not cool. I called Mount Vernon Towing and talked to Tim, I was expecting him to give me lots of grief for my momentary lapse of brain power... and he did, but in a good way. Tim quickly dispatched a "night in shinging armor" to rescue me and away I went! I never expected a bunch of grease monkeys to be so friendly and professional... even to those of us who are less than great with our vehicles. I have owned many various vehicles during my 81 years in this life and this has been the best vehicle maintenance I have ever received. My engine light came on in my H-2 Hummer. Took it to my GM Dealer in Mount Vernon. They had it for 3 weeks waiting for a part to arrive. I never received a courtesty call so I decided I had better go and check on the status. My hummer was still parked on the lot, so I received my keys and took it to Mount Vernon Towing and Auto Repair When I arrived they immediatley put my hummer up on the hoist, called me back and showed me the part that was missing on the under carriage. It was a valve to the charcoal collector box. They obtained the part and had my hummer returned to me in 2 days. Ralph Pearson

I brought one of my cars in for an oil change, and I was informed on the condition of my brake fluid. They explained the problem to me, and offered to fix it at a reasonable price, but they didn't push the fix on me, I liked that. They were of course willing to fix it but not pushy. Trevor W. I recently took my car into Mount Vernon Towing and was very happy with the service I received. Tim at the service office was quite wonderful to work with and he told me all about what was wrong with my car and why! I was so happy that he sat down and talked about my options and the prices! and worked hard to get me on the road again as quickly and affordably as possible! I never felt pressured to buy and I trust the work that Mount Vernon Towing did! I will DEFINENTLY be going back the their shop!

The repair facility of Mount Vernon Towing gave me an estimate of $500 dollars plus replacement of a battery after having my vehicle towed in. One week later, the service advisor called me to tell me the charges were above $1300, almost 300 percent above the estimate. After going back to the shop to review the bill, I found that the shop had preformed several services that I had not requested or authorized, and stated on the invoice that I had "ok'ed" these services, which was completely false. These services included a transmission flush and filter change. I am now stuck in litigation with this company for the unauthorized work and charges. To top it all off, they replaced my vehicle parts with used parts, likely from a wrecking yard, while charging new parts prices. They also did not honor the $75 tow discount that their ad promotes, and finally did poor repair work, as my tachometer no longer works, but did prior to the repairs.P.S. There is not an option for zero stars.
