As I was on my way to another nail salon, I noticed LA Vie and decided to stop there instead. The salon looked really nice from the parking lot. The atmosphere wasn't as nice as I was expecting upon entering, but still nice. It was this past Saturday and there wasn't a wait, which was a plus. Their nail polish selection is very small to be a nail salon. There wasn't a very good selection of fall/winter colors. I got a pedicure and the lady clipped my toe nails down as far as she could which I do not like. It reminds me of how people nails look when they bit them: very ugly and stubbly. She continuously tried to get me to get a full set. After repeatedly telling her all I needed was a full set, she got some guy to come over and try to convince me. I'm pregnant and not used to the smell of cigarettes. Well this guy smelled like he just came from a cig break and the smell was making me sick. It was very strong for a pregnant non smoker who is rarely around cigarette smoke. Then as I was paying my bill, the owner asked if I left a tip once he saw I didn't leave one from my credit card. I politely walked off. This business seems to be very money hungry- begging for money and trying to pressure customers into services they didn't come for. The lady next to me told me she only came for a polish change and ended up getting her nails done and a pedicure BC they insisted so much. All the begging takes away from the experience of enjoying whatever services you came for. I would not recommend this business.
