Founded in 1882, KidsPeace is a private charitable institution that serves the behavioral and mental health needs of children, preadolescents and teens. It operates a children s psychiatric hospital, and a range of therapeutic residential treatment and community-based treatment programs. KidsPeace offers services in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the District of Columbia. It is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation. The agency is a member of more than 150 professional associations, such as the Alliance for Children and Families, Child Welfare League of America, National Network for Social Work Managers and American Association of Children's Residential Centers. KidsPeace has a location in Scranton, Pa.
