Went to get some new tires and 10 mins down the road had to stop cause my tire was about to fall off. Two tires were loose and when I got out my tire iron, it didn't fit the nuts anymore. I had to get it towed somewhere and believe me it wasnt back to jeff barnes so he could mess it up anymore. won't be going back ever.

Jeff did exactly what he said he would do on our Honda Pilot. Dropped if off the afternoon before and picked in up when he said it would be ready the following day. No problems and he will back it up and cover something if it were to go wrong. Completed a water pump, timing belt and serp. belt.

We've been dealing with Jeff Barnes for many years now. He's done just about all the work on our cars and we've bought all our tires from him. Jeff is a no-nonsense guy and if he thinks that you need to go somewhere else for special work (transmission for example), he tells you that. The work has always been first class at a reasonable price. This is a place you can trust to do the right thing.

Not very impressed. Mr. Barnes has always been rather arrogant to customers, including myself. I heard this before I ever took my car there. I spoke with Jeff about a month before I needed the service completed and we figured out what was possibly wrong with my car. He gave me a quote and asked that I call him the week before I needed it done to schedule it. I called on a Friday and set the appointment up and he put me in the computer. 5 days later, my car had not been touched and he claimed he did not know what I wanted done to the car...after we had discussed it at length with him. He was quick to blame me for not getting the car fixed and never offered an apology. He is usually running well behind on other work, so it is typical for yours to sit on his lot for a while. I think he is too busy and feels he does not have to treat his customers very well because if he loses some, oh well...he has others He has lost my business and that of my family/ friends.

First, background info. Have had a rattling noise under my car for some time now and needed it fixed. Did a walk-in to a repair shop in Raleigh, NC a month ago, and was pressured by a mechanic and told that it would need a replacement catalytic converter immediately and that the rattling would stop my car dead on the road very soon if I didnt get it fixed. I didnt want pay that much so I declined and got a second opinion. Glad I did. I was given Jeff Barnes Auto Replair by a friend. Jeff said over the phone it would be $225 for my car if it was the catalytic converter that needed replacing. Dropped off the car in the morning, and when I called back in a few hrs I was told by Jeff that it was not the converter but a heat shield that broke off and was just rattling. It was properly taken out and disposed of. He only asked $25. I gave him more then that for his honesty. Glad trusted Jeff Barnes Auto instead and saved over $200!!
