Reported to Better Business Bureau and Portsmouth Police. My observation is that it is not a good place and quite content to lose repeat clientele if it means quick cash. This business does not pawn and therefore circumvents all NH laws pertaining to the pawn concept. a CL actually sign an agreement allowing them to sell your item within 30 days if you do not return on the 30th day. And they are quick to do so without or with any inclination to work with customers. An actual pawn shop in the truest form of the word is subject to NH laws requiring them to hold onto goods for an extended period of time to allow customers a fair chance to secure items once interest is paid. You are not protected by those laws. The GOLD AND PAWN in PORTSMOUTH hides behind the ruse of being an actual pawn shop. No concept of customer service realizing their type of clients are easy prey. THIS IS A BAD BUSINESS.
