In 1952, Fisher Sand & Gravel was a small, but growing and aggressive, aggregate processing business in western North Dakota. Through the vision and leadership of company founder, Gene Fisher, Fisher Sand & Gravel quickly emerged as a leader in portable crushing operations. Within fifteen years, Gene recognized a need for durable, customized equipment. In 1967 he created an affiliate company, General Steel and Supply, to repair, remodel, design and fabricate quality aggregate processing equipment. Today, the Fisher portfolio includes concrete, asphalt, drilling, blasting and paving services, as well as various aggregate products. The foundation and heartbeat of Fisher Industries has been and will always be mining aggregate materials. As a vertically integrated company, we have pursued challenges and will continue to successfully tackle tough jobs
