These people are systematic cheaters of their customers. They turn off the fare meter and claim that a flat rate "now" applies to all customers without advance warning. They demand about double the legal fare.

They were late picking me up for a shuttle to the airport. When I called to check on their status, they would not answer the phone. Caller ID used to screen my call. SUV used for shuttle; and it is difficult to climb up into vehicle.

I WAS IN THE SARASOTA AREA FOR VACATION AND THE HOTEL I WAS STAYING AT RECOMMENDED DIPLOMAT TAXI WELL I COULDNT ASK FOR MORE WHEN I CALLED THE CALL CENTER THEY WERE VERY NICE ON THE PHONE AND MOST TAXI COMPANYS WELL NOT SO NICE ON THE PHONE AND THE DRIVER WE HAD WAS EXCELLENT VERY PLEASED WITH DIPLOMAT AND THEY HAVE SUV'S, TOWNCARS, AND I ALSO NOTICED A CHRYSLER 300, I WILL BE USING THEM EVERYTIME I COME TO FLORIDA

I needed to go downtown, so the driver decides to drive two street further down than the place I wanted to go. Then he turned into that street, and went down another street to go back to the direction, I needed to go. I ask why are you going this way, I live back that way and he said, I live down there I know my way around. So now I had to pay $6 extra I guess it's something that he does to get more taxi fare. The funny part about this is he had a GPS that was showing that he was going the wrong way. I was very upset. Another thing is that you should give them exact amount because they don't carrier change and will KEEP your change. Other than these things they are a very good taxi service and very nice cabbies. They help you in and out the cab help you with your things.
