Thank you for your interest in Delle Luce! Every candle, soap and lotion we carry is hand-crafted by us, and go through a very thorough testing process. We personally use all of our own products, and firmly believe that once you try them, you will love them as much as we do. We strongly believe in our products, and we are confident that they are the absolute best on the market. Once again, thank you for visiting and we look forward to serving you! If you're reading this, then it's probably safe to say that you want to learn more about us - learn about who we are, how we got started, etc. Well, I will do my best to help you with that! To start, I will introduce myself. My name is Kellie Benson, and I am the proud owner of Delle Luce. (Pronounced Dell-La Loo-Chay) How I got started in this business is a very long and complicated story, but I will do my best to be brief. My Mom and I started making candles in the fall of 2000. My Grandfather was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and we brought him home to take care of him. He was bedridden, and obviously very ill, and asked for a candle to be placed in his room to help get rid of the "Nursing Home smell" that seemed to cling to everything in his bedroom. I think Mom bought every candle known to man, but they either made him nauseous with a strong chemical smell, or they weren't strong enough to overpower the odor we were trying to get rid of. Completely frustrated by our inability to find anything suitable, my Mom said that if we couldn't buy a candle that would work, we would make one - and we did! Mom and I spent countless hours researching the various aspects of candle making. Then, we began the process of making various types of candles, and learning the pros and cons of various methods, types of wax, types of wicks, etc. Finally, we found what we were looking for and worked at it until we had it perfected. Success! My Grandfather loved our candles, as did the nurses and aides that came to our home daily.
