Crime Victims Assistance Center Inc. provides education and support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault/harassment. Based in Binghamton, N.Y., the organization's volunteers provide callers with emergency crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and crisis and referral. Its victim advocates accompany and assist victims through the medical and criminal justice processes. Crime Victims Assistance Center Inc. also assists victims in filing for compensation with the NYS Crime Victims Board. In addition, the organization's education department provides education in the areas of rape, date rape drugs, and domestic and dating violence.
