The Division of Sewerage and Drainage is a part of the Department of Public Utilities, which is governed by the City of Columbus in Ohio. The division operates various wastewater treatment plants. It is responsible for the maintenance of storm, sanitary and sewer collection systems and related infrastructure. The Division of Sewerage and Drainage administers a capital improvement program to solve flooding issues. The division offers stormwater management and industrial pre-treatment solutions, as well as several regulatory compliance programs to protect the quality of surface water. It provides operational support through information technology and mapping systems. In addition, the Division of Sewerage and Drainage operates a compost facility.
