Originally part of the YWCA, The Center for Women and Families has been serving our community since 1912. Today The Center is a private nonprofit organization with 5 regional locations serving 9 Kentuckiana counties: Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble counties in Kentucky, and Clark and Floyd counties in Indiana.The Center for Women and Families offers services to all survivors of intimate partner abuse or sexual violence. We provide a variety of residential and nonresidential services including emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling and advocacy.
