My apartment was fine when I was living in it. Apart from the air conditioner that didnt heat the apartment when it was below 20 and didnt cool it when it was above 90 degrees outside (which happens quite often). Management changed three times over three years. When I moved out I was asked to pay the amount above the security deposit, which was 200 dollars. I was not warned about the items on the bill, such as the charge for painting the walls (100 dollars!). When I called and inquired about the charge I was told that it was a standard charge (I was not warned about it despite that I asked) and was not given adequate explanations as to why I was not informed about it. My previous land lord would not charge me for such a thing as it was his regular maintenance expense, and did not have anything to do with my maintenance of the apartment. I think it is unfair, as I moved to a different state and cannot debate the charges with Brookhollow, and I think they've taken advantage of this.
