Established in 1873, Bennett College offers various educational programs and services for women, and is affiliated with United Methodist Church and Women's College Coalition. The college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education and the Council on Social Work Education. The college offers various academic programs, including arts management, biology, business administration, chemistry, computer science, elementary education, English and interdisciplinary studies. It also offers courses in mass communication, mathematics, middle grades education, political science, psychology, social work, special education, and visual and performing arts. It additionally offers academic programs in woman-oriented religious and global studies and African women's studies. Bennett College is located in Greensboro, N.C.
