Insects and Spiders

• Ticks
  Mice invade most every home and often we do not know until we hear the scratching in the walls at night or see their droppings in the attic, basement, or kitchen. Mice will also carry a variety of ticks and parasites into your home. Some exterminators will use poisons to control the population, but there is a risk of them dying and smelling in the inaccessible infrastructure of your house. Snap trapping or live trapping is an alternate mouse control method that we would employ specific to your needs and eliminates that risk.

Animal Control

• Bats
  Encountering a bat in your house, discovering you have an issue with them living in the house, or in the attic can be disconcerting. Please know that bats want nothing to do with us, aren’t naturally aggressive towards us and very few carry the rabies virus. • Raccoons
  These masked bandits are very clever and dexterous creatures of the night, though it’s not entirely unusual to see one during the day in the birthing/nursing season (sometimes mom just needs a break and something to drink).   They are capable of living in your fireplace, breaking through vents to your attic or basement to lodge.  Raccoons will also live under low lying decks and out-buildings.  They can be extremely determined, destructive and are very strong.  If they can’t be deterred and pose a nuisance or threat to you, proper raccoon removal services can set traps and remove them.
• Snakes
  We find them in our basements, pools, ponds and gardens. All the local snakes are harmless ones with the exception of the rare Copperhead. Though they are not likely to be a danger, snakes appear scary and make people feel uneasy.   These cute and sometimes annoying rodents are found nesting in our attics, walls, basements and on occasion they will also accidentally fall down our chimneys – hopefully to be rescued or humanely re. They are notoriously loud, sometimes destructive and hosts to a variety of parasites. Squirrel removal is typically necessary because squirrels will take advantage of vulnerabilities in your home to gain access and most all homes are vulnerable. The Gray Squirrel especially will chew/make a hole to move in if they choose.

• Chipmunks
  Chipmunks are everywhere it seems these days. Mild winters of late has allowed the chipmunk population to explode and now run rampant around your home. They most often live in foundations and rock walls, under patios and driveways, and in the ground along the home’s foundation. On occasion they can also find their way into the living area.
