General Info
What are the top 3 most memorable moments about the last wedding you went to??? I'm pretty sure music makes the top of the charts. Finding a good DJ is difficult. If you don't believe me, just ask your best friend, family member, or maybe you witnessed this first hand. So, I'm sure that you would agree that choosing a DJ for your wedding reception is one of the most important decisions that you can make. But HOW??? How do you determine who to work with??? If you would take my recommendation... sit down and interview the DJ and ask for referrals. Make sure the testimonials are not from close family members. ;-) Make sure the DJ interviews you. "Who cares how much they know, until you know how much they care." As this interview proceeds, make sure that they have the characteristics of a people person- very interactive, smiling, friendly, engages with all parties at the meeting, body language, does not avoid answering questions, do they serve you and your needs, and finally DO THEY LISTEN??? Does it really boil down to price, if the moment you are going to cherish forever is ruined or not "perfect"??? Cheap Cheap Fun Fun vs Quality Does your DJ return inquires quickly and promptly? Are they organized or send information that you requested? Go with your instincts... you can find a good affordable DJ, but you are going to have to do your homework. Here are a few notes to jot down... TIPS ON FINDING THE RIGHT DISC JOCKEY - Written and signed agreement - Have questions written before you have your interview - Ensure that there is a back-up plan for their gear - Is the DJ Insured - Testimonials and Referrals - Schedule 1 meeting for interview, 1 meeting for down payment and pre-planning, and finally 1 meeting a few weeks out for changes and finalization
