Since 1979, Ada's Clothes Repair has served Gainesville providing prompt, reasonably priced, quality alterations and tailoring. Each of our seamstresses has worked for over 15 years at Ada's and has a wealth of experience in virtually every aspect of alterations and tailoring. Whether it's replacing a zipper in jeans or a leather jacket, fitting a designer bridesmaid or wedding dress, or tailoring a fine suit, our seamstresses have done it all. The original Ada's at 1518 NW 13th St. is the only designated vendor of sewing services for the University of Florida. Over the years Ada's has done work on a regular basis for the UF Gator Band, UF Naval ROTC, has contributed their skills to research projects of several different colleges of the University, and has provided alteration services to Alachua County Fire Rescue for over 10 years. While other alteration / tailoring services have come and gone, Ada's excellent reputation for prompt, quality service has made it the household name, synonymous with clothing alterations and fine tailoring in North Central Florida for thirty five years.
