My 2 year old front loading Whirlpool washer came up stating a F21 code meaning a drain problem. The man came & immediately told my husband that he did not need to be in the room with him, within 2 minutes, the man was yelling for me to bring him a bucket and towels. He had manually unlocked my front loading washer full of water & water went everywhere. I had a drain problem so I'm not sure why he did what I just stated. After the man called Whirlpool support & a lot of time writing a written report he came to me stating it would cost $475 roughly to fix it & that may not take care of everything. We asked how much we owed him just today & we would think about it & after a few more minutes of writing another report it was $169.00. Now I had spent $169.00 & had a broken door lock. We had someone else come & look at it that day & he found a knee hi in the pump & removed it & then ordered $87 door lock which came the next day & it was fixed. I would not recommend him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stay away from this guy!!! We called for service on a washer and a range. He quoted us $22.50 per quarter hour or any part thereof. Although I thought that was high, we were desperate. Because of the high price, I watched the clock very closely. When he finished, he then literally spent 45 minutes at our kitchen table writing pages of reports. When he handed the bill over, I about fainted. First of all, he treated each appliance as a different service call, starting the clock over when he would move from one to the other. That means that he charged $22.50 each time he would move from one appliance for even two minutes, because according to him, that was a portion of a quarter hour. Here's the real clincher...remember all that time he sat at the kitchen table writing up reports? Yep, he charged us for that also. $67.50 for him to write three pages. Bottom line, when he left, it cost us several hundred dollars just to replace a belt on a washer and to NOT fix the range!
