I signed up for ABC Bar-tending school via Living Social in 2014 . I had a great teacher who took his time to teach the students all the professional skills that he had from his 30 years in the profession and with a sense of humor. The environment was natural since its set up like a bar and the atmosphere was friendly.You need to study hard to learn all these drinks by heart I had to study every day and my home work had to be done before the next class no exception. It takes time to learn all these drinks however one does not become a professional bartender overnight especially not some one like me who does not frequent bars. Dan also gave us info about job leads. The one thing I did not like was that I had to drive all the way up to Jacksonville to prove that I had paid for my class before I could be assigned a class schedule and I would have appreciated being able to fax my proof of payment and then get my schedule.

I called earlier today to get some basic info, such as when new (40 hour) evening curriculum will begin. The guy I spoke with couldn't get me that answer. I explained that I'd have to do some juggling with my work schedule and that I had to know when their curriculum started, in case I couldn't start this time around. He still couldn't tell me and didn't offer to get back to me with that. Fine. I thought I'd just stop by on the way home from work, so I called to get their address and after the (different) guy told me that I'd need two copies of the Groupon coupon and a copy of my DL, I said, "Can't I just come into your school to ask a few questions in person?" His answer was a snide, "Nope.". That's it. Nothing more. No explanations, no willingness to talk, nothing. There's *no* way I'd take a chance on spending money at this place if their public facing people are this ignorant and unprofessional. Based on this behavior, I can't imagine me getting my money's worth.
