His landlord/tenant practice includes representing various management companies in the Nashville area. Mr. Rubenstein is a Board Member of the Tennessee Apartment Association and is a lecturer on landlord/tenant issues, providing continuing legal and real estate education. Mr. Rubenstein currently teaches business law at the John Gupton School of Mortuary Science. He is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations.

  J. Timothy Crenshaw ( tcrenshaw@slblawfirm.com ) is of counsel to the firm. His practice is focused on construction law and litigation with an emphasis on the representation of specialty trade contractors; however, he has represented clients at all levels of the construction delivery process in litigation, mediation, and arbitration of disputes, including mechanics lien and bond claims, delay and defect claims, bidding, scheduling, extra work and other payment and contract issues.

  Keene W. Bartley ( kbartley@slblawfirm.com ) is a partner and serves as co-manager of  Schulman, LeRoy & Bennett, PC and has been practicing with the firm since 1982. Mr. Bartley received a B.A. from David Lipscomb College in 1979 and a J.D. from Memphis State University in 1982. His areas of practice include civil litigation with special emphasis in the areas of construction law, arbitration and mediation, general business transactions, commercial real estate sales, development, financing, commercial leasing and management issues, and matters arising from the retail sale of petroleum products.  Mr. Bartley has an “AV” rating from Martindale Hubble reflecting the highest level of professional ability and ethical standards as determined by  peer review from practicing attorneys and members of the judiciary.

  Administrative Law is an important area of practice for Schulman, LeRoy & Bennett. It is often necessary to represent our corporate, construction and insurance clients in this arena. Our attorneys have appeared before numerous State and Federal boards and agencies including the Federal Trade Commission, Tennessee Regulatory Authority, EEOC, Tennessee Real Estate Commission, Contractor’s Licensing Board, Underground Storage Tank Board, and various planning and zoning commissions, as well as many other state licensing and “rate making” boards. We guide our clients through the administrative law process, advise our clients on strategies, and help implement any necessary changes in policy. Combining our experience in civil litigation and arbitration, we are able to provide our clients with effective representation in this area.
