Family & ChildrenÕs Service (FCS) in Nashville, Tennessee, was formed in 1943, to restore families affected by war and disruption. In 1953, it merged with another social service agency and started dealing with infant adoptions and counseling of families Apart from counseling and adoptions services, the organization provides health navigator program, translation services, 24-hour crisis call, family support, suicide survivor groups, and elementary school resource centers for families, WendyÕs adoptive families, and relative caregiver programs. It also handles intervention of crisis for children and adults who are victims of trauma and household violence, school-based services including academic supports, development of character, counseling and prevention programs.
