Provided by YP.comSaw Dr. Chris Glattes some time back. Even though had trouble getting appointment, needed someone specialized in spine to oversee the massive amount of hardware in my body, after my ortho surgeon retired. Was frustrated with having to repeat paperwork submitted at the web site, but impressed by thoroughness of the time I spent with the doctor. Agreed with assessment of my former surgeon and the need to continue Prolia, so was referred me to Dr. R. Collins on Charlotte Ave. Went for repeated visits, was lied to about Medicare and Blue Cross not wanting to cover and then when transporting another individual, was told that Dr. Glattes and he wanted to sedate me and do an unrequired test. In your 70's and with heart issues, why would any responsible physician sedate a person for an unnecessary and unrequired test, when he (Glattes) had agreed the treatment was needed when last seen. Collins office not professional, and I will not return, but did call Glattes' office to find out what caused him to change his mind since I left his office after he had done other scans? Was told that nothing changed other than Collins wanted. As a patient, when my doctor changes his mind about how to treat me, I am the one to be told the reasons and "because Collins wanted" is NOT a justifiable reason for Medicare, BCBS or to me for requiring sedation and a test that neither insurance required for the Prolia. Sadly, I am still searching for an orthopaedic surgeon, with speciality in the spine, but I want one who can be honest and up front with the patient and not do unnecessary tests and put patients at more risk for the $$$ only. I've waited months now, and never got any reply from Glattes office to justify telling me one thing and then reverse his position just because another doctor wanted it. It caused me to drop my rating of Professionalism from five star to two star. Sure makes it difficult to stay at Centennial.
