I've been going to Goodale's for about 20 years. Have purchased everything from bike trailers to kids bikes to various adult bikes of different prices. I have been impressed with the help I get from them. They are patient and work with you to figure out what sort of bike is a good fit for what you want. The service folks are also great, I've always felt I've gotten a fair price and sometimes they've done things for a couple of bucks that would have been beyond my maintenance skills. This is for bike geeks. If you actually want help with a bike forget it. We tried for 15-20 minutes to get somebody to help us select a bike. Even had the cashier page people twice. Most of the employees were busy tinkering with this or that piece of hardware and there was only two people on the floor helping folks and they gravitated to the hard core folks buying accessories. This was noon on a Saturday. We left assuming this was an indication of their customer orientation.

This store has everything you need for any biking excursion. There is always a sale on something and you can pick up some nice bike duds. The service techs know what they are doing and you can always trust them to find out what's wrong with your bike. They can also customize any bike that you buy or bring in. We shop no where else when it comes to our biking needs.
