The Transportation Services Division operates under the government of Collier County, in Florida, which also operates emergency management, human services, health, library and water departments. The Transportation Services Division was established in the year 2000 as a part of the reorganization of the former Public Works Division. The division operates transportation planning, engineering and construction management, traffic operations, stormwater administration and alternative transportation modes units. Its alternative transportation modes unit oversees the public transit system, Collier Area Transit (CAT) and Transportation Disadvantaged System (TD). The Transportation Services Division s traffic operations unit maintains traffic signals, roadway lighting and signs. The division maintains a location in Naples, Fla.
