Founded in 1972, Aldea Children & Family Services is an organization that supports and empowers young people with serious social, mental and behavioral difficulties to grow to be independent and productive adults. Based in Napa, Calif., it provides professional mental health and child welfare services, including foster care and adoption; advocacy for parents; therapeutic educational services; residential outpatient psychiatric and counseling services; and supported living services for adults with developmental disabilities. The organization maintains schools and homes for vulnerable children and adults with all the ancillary services needed, as well as a continuum of services for all ages. Aldea Children & Family Services utilize alternative treatment modalities through its various programs.
