Lauren Poster-Thiessmeier is a licensed massage therapist who is passionately committed to educating the public about the benefits of bodywork. Dispelling the negative stigma that has long been associated with massage is a primary goal for new practitioners. There is nothing dirty about receiving a therapeutic massage. LMT's are trained professionals well-versed in anatomy, physiology, pathology, post-trauma and preventive care. To remain licensed, continuing education is not only encouraged but required in a variety of subjects ranging from basic ethics to new modalities of a therapist’s choice. For each specific problem, one or a combination of different therapies can be employed over time to reduce chronic pain associated with the stresses of daily life, as well as single-incident injury.
