Welcome to the Good Shepherd Orthodox Anglican Church website. We are located in the heart of the Grand Strand at 700 35th Avenue N. in Myrtle Beach, SC. Good Shepherd is a parish church of the Orthodox Anglican Church in America. We are a member of the worldwide Orthodox Anglican Communion which encompasses churches throughout the United States, Italy, Eastern Europe, India and Africa. Orthodox Anglicans believe Holy Scripture to be God's word. We confess the three ancient creeds of the Church: Apostles, Nicene and Athanasian. We believe in the genuine spiritual power of the Sacraments, the power of God to heal the sick and broken-hearted, and that loyalty to our Lord is expressed by service to our fellowmen. We believe in the necessity of inward spiritual development and the outward amendment of life of every Christian. We stand for biblical faith and morality, ordain only Godly men to holy orders, and affirm that marriage is a sacred bond between a man and women. As a liturgical church, Anglicans worship God using traditional liturgies prescribed in orthodox editions of the Book of Common Prayer, which dates from 1549.
