I have several children currently enrolled at this school and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of education, dedication of teachers, and opportunities for parent involvement! Students take national achievement tests and consistently outperform same grade peers on a national level by several grades. The fine arts dept. is incredible. All middle school students receive musical instruction on an instrument. The Drama group puts on an outstanding spring musical and outdoes itself each year. The state of the art building is filled with art, but the crown jewel is the Mosaic created by students that winds up the stairwell and includes a beautiful Madonna. I'm most happy with the fact that my children have had Spanish class since kindergarten and that my middle schooler takes French and Spanish.There are so many opportunities for individualized instruction. Every teacher knows every child by name-its a second home for my children. My son reads with a couple of students and 2 teachers weekly for an hour before school. Sometimes the teachers even bring breakfast! They are learning critical reading skills to compete at an English festival-the skills he is learning from these weekly breakfast sessions will take him far. He chooses to go each week because the teachers make it fun.

All of my children enjoy several sports offered through the school/parish.

In every class my children are learning values that will form their young minds and hearts into moral, spiritual and giving adults.

I enrolled my older daughter into Mother of Sorrows Accelerated Kindergarten program. I was very pleased with how individualized the instruction was and how my daughter was challenged in a positive way. This class made her first formal school experience a positive one and also set her up for a positive year in 1st grade. I would highly recommend the Accelerated K program at Mother of Sorrows to any parent that believes that their child would benefit from a more accelerated K program and I would also recommend Mother of Sorrows 1st grade program as well.
