I am very particular about where and with whom I allow to care for my Lola. As such I asked a cross section of people about Country Kennel, visited the kennel at different times and was gladly given a tour, spoke to staff about food served, routines, how the dogs were acclimatized to each other and what the protocol was for inclement weather to include hot weather(and their definition was of hot weather - especially for inside dogs). I then boarded my girl for 3 nights and days - picking her up on the afternoon of 3rd day requesting an exit bath. Lola came out happy - not dragging at the leash to get to me but 'smiling' and excited to see me, she was bathed and smelling good as requested. The her blanket was washed and clean and all toys accounted for. One of the things I loved most was ~ no surprises on the exit bill! What I was quoted was what I was presented at check out - and I had added 3% on the quoted price for any "mistakes"....Since our first stay there they made several beautiful additions including a doggie water park!
I have been taking my dogs to Country Kennel for 26 years. i started going there to have my dogs groomed before Patty, the owner, opened her boarding facility. The owners live on the premises. The kennel has heating & A/C & is cleaner than many homes I know of.They have family units for people who wish to keep their pets together.We moved from the Murrieta area to Mexico 5 years ago and to this day I still drive 128 miles, each way, to take my 4 dogs there. I've left them for as long as 23 at a stretch and never worried one of those days about their well being. The staff is wonderful. This kennel is in the country and looks like a sprawling ranch home complete with grass, trees & flowers. It is entirely fenced and secure.
