We have eaten at the Chowder House numerous times. The fried shrimp is fabulous! We've not had anything that wasn't good. Charles is generally our server as was the occasion last evening. He is terrific!

This was our first trip to the Chowder House. :-) The shrimp and fish of the day was delicious! We also had a spinach and clam dip as an appetizer and could not stop eating it. it's worth a try and the trip and was reasonably priced!! My only issue, is that the restaurant is not bigger!;)

I stopped by the other day at lunch, and the small restaurant was packed. The owner and his kitchen crew were moving fast, though, and everyone got served in very good time. I ordered a fried flounder sandwich, and I haven't had fried fish that good in years. The crust was light and crispy, the interior perfectly flaky, and it was delicious! The fries were good, the tomato was locally grown -- the whole meal was really tasty. It's a shame I live so far away because I'd be there once a week if it was closer.
