I have in the past offered a recommendation to the manager because of an unprofessional and unsightly condition in front of the store to the manager Marilyn came back with a rude and quick answer shooting me down for even speaking. I was so mad at how rude she was I didn't shop there for months. Now my wife was Christmas shopping and she was at the register helping and dropped a box of product and without a sorry tried to pack it. When my wife questioned if it was broken she said GO GET ANOTHER THEN and my wife said it was the last one and no offer was made to correct the problem, she was again rude and short with my wife and made her so made my wife called me about crying and said she will never step foot in this store again. What a shame because my wife was so happy to see Big Lots come into our town of Murphy NC and now would like to see it go as fast because of one very unhappy rude manager names Marilyn.

I have shopped at Big Lots on a regular basis since it opened. On about 7 occasions I have over heard the manager, named Marilyn speaking to her employees in a very rude and mean tone with a very ugly face. Where did she learn her management skills? You don't conduct yourself in public like this in front of customers. And what about those poor employees. I wouldn't recommend anyone working there.

When I called to see if an item was available, Amy was VERY helpful. She located the item, told me what the colors were, and told me the price... all with a smile in her voice. Great customer service!!

We were in the Murphy store with our son and daughter-in-law on 10-21-12 and between us we made a significant purchase of furniture items. We were waited on by a young man named Mark. Not only was he extermely friendly, but he was also very helpful in answering our questions and making suggestions. We were very impressed with him, and will definitely be shopping at this store again!
