If I could check a zero star, I would have today, January 11, 2018. When I walked in the front door, the first thing that I could not help noticing to the immediate right was dirty walls I am talking brown muddy walls! I walked to the front desk, and the woman sitting at the sliding window just stared at me; so, I waited until I was properly acknowledged, because I did not want to interrupt the five women sitting in that tiny office. Without smiling, she said, Can I help you? I politely told her my name and that I was 20-minutes early for my 11 AM appointment. Without saying anything friendly, she simply said, "Go through that door, go down the hall, and sit at the tables. The door handle on that door looked like someone had been eating greasy fried chicken! Using my sleeve opening that door, I entered and walked down the hall that opened into a large auditorium-type room.As I walked into that large room aiming toward one of the folding tables that were in several rows spread out throughout the room, a very strange person (not a lady, because ladies are generally nice) was walking toward me. Without breaking stride as she got even with me, she said, Name? I stopped and told her my name, but she had already walked past, but said with her back toward me, Have a seat!, which meant in one of the many chairs by one of those many tables. My only response by this time was, Okee Dokee. One would have thought that someone that works there that has authority to ask questions to new patients (or even existing patients) might have said, Hi. I havent seen you here before. Whats your name? Its nice to meet you, Gary. Please have a seat and someone will be right with you. But no! This person just kept walking right past me without stopping or addressing me in a personable manner, not being nice or friendly, and heading wherever it was she had to get to, which turned out to be only ten feet away at another row of folding tables where she had office supplies. Thats when I realized she must be an employee that hates her job. After sitting at the table, I could not help but to notice the place was extremely dirty. Those tables where everybody has to sit looked as though they had never been washed. In fact, the one I was sitting near and afraid to touch looked as though it was used for changing baby diapers! After a few minutes sitting there thinking I was going to catch a disease just by breathing the air, I got up, went back to the front desk, and told that same woman at the sliding window that I wanted to cancel my appointment. When she asked me if I wanted to reschedule, I assertively told her, No. This is the filthiest place I have ever been in or seen in my entire life. When she told me my appointment was canceled, I thanked her and walked out. Just because I am forced to have Medicaid at this time in my life owing that I had to stop working while getting a Bachelors degree in pre-law, a Masters degree in conflict resolution, applying for law school, and studying for the February LSAT is no reason to treat me, or anybody else, like a degenerate. I realize the employees in that organization hate their jobs based on all of the negative reviews by their own employees. However, employees, if you do not like your jobs, if you cannot treat people with common decency, and if you cannot at least clean up after yourselves and others, then you are no better off than the mentally challenged people that go out of their way spending their personal time to see you seeking mental health! How can anybody help someone mentally when the employees have their own serious issues associating with people? Volunteer Behavioral Health Care Center in Murfreesboro on Thompson Lane receives a ZERO!
