Rawhide Ranch was developed as a luxury, low stress retreat for an exclusive number of well-loved dogs. You will only find 5 bunks at Rawhide Ranch. We promise that we will never care for more than 10 dogs at a time. That way, we can take care of your dogs ourselves, like they were our own.*Even with loving care and nice accommodations, boarded dogs experience stress. We designed the bunkhouse to keep that stress to a minimum. First, 5 ft high cinderblock walls divide each bunk area. Six foot high walls provide privacy in the dog's personal outside patio. Second, bunks are side-by-side, not facing one another across a hallway. This protects your dog from unwanted stares and otherwise stressful attention from a neighbor.Third, the inside area of the bunkhouse has both heat and air conditioning so that the temperatures can be maintained at a comfortable level--never too hot or too cold.Dogs get at least three extended potty breaks/romps a day in the fenced, one-acre play area. This is when your dog's quarters are spruced up. When that's done, a game of fetch or tug is on the agenda. During his romps, your dog will only be with members of his own family (unless you specifically choose to allow him or her to play in a small group). In between romps, your dog is free to move between his inside quarters and his personal patio where he can enjoy a nap in the sun or the pastoral view. Part of the patio is concrete and part is pea gravel. Because we don't want to teach your dog to pee on concrete, we provide the three extended potty breaks. It's not a problem if they do pee on their patio, but this gives them an alternative.
