Cherokee Bend Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum includes programs in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school additionally conducts classes in art, Spanish and physical education. Cherokee Bend Elementary School s counseling and guidance department provides assistance in developing study skills, maintaining relationships with peers and adults and understanding the decision-making process. It also offers various character education programs. The school offers a program, Junior United Nations Assembly, which exposes children to the real world issues of other countries and gives them an understanding of the working of United Nations Assembly. Cherokee Bend Elementary School s library has a collection of more than 15,000 books and features over 30 fully networked computers.
