After selling us $1,000 worth of deck stain that only lasted three months, they told us that was normal for the Pacific Northwest. They would not even look at the pictures of the deck showing their failed product. These guys are crooks of the highest caliber. Caveat emptor!!!!

What a nightmare. The owner was so belligerent when we try to discuss a quality issue with him that I had to walk out of the meeting. I am a business owner since 2001 and was in corporate America for 18 years prior to that and have never before witnessed such a lack of professionalism. We had sent an engineering drawing with finish specifications stated in two places on the drawing and asked them to quote the order for 20,000 pieces. When we received them we found that the surface finish was no where close to what the specification required. Following normal business practices, we scheduled a conference call with the salesman and the owner to see how we could resolve the issue. Before the conference was 60 seconds old, the owner of Sound Cedar (Mike) was jumping down our throats telling us we didn't know how to run a business, it was not anyone in his organization that made a mistake and that he knew how to run a business much better than we did. Stay clear of this company.

We have ordered from Sound Cedar a few times before and always received great service and quality items. We've purchased a deck package and continue to buy our patio furniture & big green egg stuff from them.
