ABOUT ST. JOHN'S St. John's Episcopal/Anglican Church is located in Mount Rainier, Maryland, which is a small city located between Hyattsville and Bladensburg on the District of Columbia's (DC) northeast border. It is a vibrant growing, diverse, multicultural congregation. It is a parish which has seen dramatic changes over the last twenty five years of its 100 year history. We hold two services on Sundays, one at 8: 00 A.M. and one at 10: 00 A.M. St. John's has embraced the wide range of cultures and peoples which make up this part of Maryland and Northeast DC. Many churches, out of fear of change would have barricaded themselves in and bolted the doors, but St. John's has embraced the change in that the congregation has evolved to reflect the demographics of the neighborhood. St. John's is a parish family made up of many cultures. We are Caucasian, East African, West African, South American and Caribbean.
