Very knowledgeable and caring doctor. Interested in me as a whole person, not just a patient. Went into my hip replacement with confidence and reassurance that I was in good hands. No complications after surgery. Great at pain management after surgery. Great office staff. Will definitely use Dr. Schutte for my next hip replacement.

Great experience in the consultation stage of my knee replacement. The staff was very friendly, the red carpet was rolled out. Dr. Schutte was very personable, his assistants very professional and courteous. I was first being seen by doctors at the Southeastern Spine Institute and after several appointments, MRIs, X-rays and even a shot of cortisone into my back I was referred to Southern Orthopedics because my issues seemed to be due to an issue with my hip. As soon as my doctor from SPI contacted Dr. McKoy with Southern Orthopedics I was told to come right over. For several weeks I had been in so much pain that I was unable to walk without the use of a walker. I am otherwise a healthy 30 year old mother of three young children, and I had not suffered an injury of any kind. I had seen many doctors, and most of them did not even seem interested in taking the time to help me find an explanation. I was almost emotional when I first met Dr. McKoy, because I knew he understood and was obviously extremely concerned. I was given a diagnosis right away and I feel as if he has given me as much knowledge about my condition as he possibly can. I feel he has done the best he can to help manage my pain until my condition improves. I am seeing him every few weeks for follow up visits, and I feel I always leave with a bit more of an understanding. He seems to be very thorough with each visit, and even says a prayer for me before I leave. Everyone I have ever dealt with in the office has been nothing but friendly and helpful thus far. I would highly recommend to anyone!
