Moultrie Middle School, located in Mount Pleasant, S.C., is a part of the Charleston County School District. It enrolls more than 750 students in grades six through eight and provides a nurturing environment that enhances the learning process. Its subjects include social studies, science, English, math, United States history, arts, Spanish and drama. It provides self-contained classes for students with developmental problems and autistic students. It offers honors classes at each grade level for English, math, science and social studies. The school provides several opportunities for extracurricular activities, which include beta, chess, French, Spanish and running clubs, patriot council, yearbook and various sports, such as basketball, tennis, cheerleading and football.
