Located in Mount Pleasant, S.C., Charles Pinckney Elementary School is operated by the Charleston County School District and offers various academic and extracurricular activities. It serves students in grades kindergarten through five and offers various academic courses, such as computers, physical education, art, English, mathematics, social studies, general science and foreign languages. The elementary school s art program includes painting, drawing, printmaking, weaving, collage making and ceramics. It offers a variety of facilities and services, including routine health screenings, a library, computer laboratories, playing fields, transportation, cafeteria and media center. Additionally, the school offers WCPE, a student-produced morning news show, and chorus, orchestra and drama troupe. It also hosts a week-long festival at the end of each school year that features professional artists and performers.
