The company uses laser-scanning and snapshot optimization systems to procure high lumber yields. It also uses high-yield innovations, energy-conserving technology and refined timberland strategies. The company operates advanced zone-controlled, steam-fired dry kilns that can accommodate specialty-drying schedules to conditions and equalize lumber to meet the specifications of clients. Additionally, it uses high-speed grade-readers before and after the drying process to separate any grade at any point. Jordan Lumber & Supply follows environmental management practices set by North Carolina Forestry Service by replanting six times more trees than it harvests on company lands. It also provides the landowner assistance program, which is a progressive reforestation and management partnership with private landowners.
