- Emergency CareCristine Hamlin Andrews, Registered Nurse, is Office Manager for Blue Ridge Cardiology and Internal Medicine Sparta Office location. Before joining Blue Ridge, Cristine specialized in caring for critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit at Forsyth Medical Center and for emergent and critical patients in the Emergency Room at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. When Cristine is not advocating for and caring for her patients, she is on the lake spending time with her husband and two children.

- ElectrocardiogramStress Echocardiograms involve a resting Echocardiogram, Excercise Stress testing on a treadmill combined with an EKG test, and then a Post Exercise Echocardiogram. Patients with coronary artery blockages may have minimal or no symptoms during rest, however symptoms and signs of heart disease may be unmasked by exposing the heart to the stress of exercise. If a patient is unable to walk on a treadmill a chemical stress test may be done instead.
- ImmunizationsThe purpose of preventive medicine is to avoid the development of disease. It is the proactive approach to medical care. Examinations, treatments and advice are performed/given in order to prevent illness or discover it before it becomes more serious. Examples include screening mammograms, pap smears, vaccinations, PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) testing, blood pressure checks, cholesterol screening, colonoscopy and other types of screenings.

- UltrasoundEchoCardiogram is a test in which Ultrasound technology is used to examine the heart. This test gives a picture of a beating heart and will show chambers, valves and major blood vessels that exit the heart.
- Nuclear MedicineKelly Sale is a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist who works in Blue Ridge Cardiology and Internal Medicine offices in Mt. Airy, Elkn and North Wilkesboro. Kelly obtained her degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from UNC Chapel Hill. She enjoys music,cooking, hiking and shopping in her spare time.
- Wound CareIncreasingly many geriatricians and internal medicine physicians are called upon to provide care for patients in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Our Blue Ridge physicians provide care to nursing home patients in Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin Counties.
