  Moulton, Ala. - Lawrence Medical Center has received a 2016 Women’s Choice Award for Emergency Care. This designation is based on criteria that considers female patient satisfaction, clinical excellence, and what women state that they want from a hospital emergency care.

  On November 25, 2013, Dr. Tuckier did a colonoscopy on me and found a carcinoid tumor - the chances of this being found by a colonoscopy is very rare.
• Electrocardiogram
  All centers offer sports physicals, DOT physicals, well checks, and sick visits. Each facility has an EKG on the premise, and keep defibrillators for emergencies. Pregnancy, urine, and strep tests can be performed at all four as well. All primary care centers are equipped with new Electronic Health Record (EHR) and e-prescribe systems that allow them to digitally keep patient records. EHR allows for seamless transfer of patient information to hospitals, pharmacies and other specialists.

The Joint Commission-Accredited LMC Surgical Services Department offers both General Surgeries and minimally-invasive Endoscopy Procedures. Our state-of-the-art high-definition video equipment allows for early detection, prevention, and treatment of many disorders by providing some of the most precise imaging available.

  Ultrasound is typically used to provide clear images of the veins and arteries, heart, abdomen, and pelvis without requiring the use of radiation or x-ray dyes. Ultrasound can also produce real-time video images of moving structures such as a beating heart. Digital ultrasound files can be sent over the Internet or provided on a CD for physicians or outside medical centers.

  Our state-of-the-art MRI provides the highest-quality three-dimensional images with the lowest amount of acoustic noise available through patented technology. Located in a newly-built, large, bright room, our MRI has one of the shortest tunnels on the market and one of the largest openings, greatly reducing patient stress due to fear of confined spaces and loud noises. Digital MRI images can be sent over the Internet or provided on a CD for physicians or outside medical centers.

  Lawrence Medical Center established a partnership with Radiology of Huntsville to provide 24/7/365 rapid interpretations of all images and scans. Radiology of Huntsville is the largest provider of interpretive radiology services in North Alabama with multiple facilities and over 30 certified physicians, many of whom are board certified in multiple subspecialty areas including neuro, women's health, pediatric, and muscular/skeletal.

  Nuclear medicine uses a radioactive medicine to look for body, heart or bone abnormalities. Digital nuclear medicine images can be sent over the Internet or provided on a CD for physicians or outside medical centers.
