Established in 1966, Genie Industries manufactures portable aerial work platforms, scissor lifts, and self-propelled telescopic and articulated booms. It is a subsidiary of Terex Corporation, a manufacturer of equipment for the construction, quarrying, mining, shipping, transportation, refining, and utility industries. Headquartered in Redmond, Wash., Genie Industries also manufactures generators, power buggies and light towers. In addition, it provides telehandlers that feature three steering options, joy stick control and lifting and moving systems. The company has introduced semi-pneumatic tires that include engineered sidewalls that are resistant to cuts and snags. Its tires feature improved terrainability and self-cleaning tread design.
